Janelle David, R.M.T.

Janelle is a graduate of the 3000 hour massage therapy program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. She has always aimed to find a profession that combined her desire to help people with her passion for wellness. Being a massage therapist has allowed her to play a positive role in her patients’ self care regimen and this gives her a great feeling of satisfaction. Janelle has gained experience working with a wide variety of patients including babies, children, athletes, pre/postnatal women, office workers, and the elderly.

Janelle adjusts her treatments according to her patients’ needs. After examining the posture and function of a patient’s musculoskeletal system, she decides on an appropriate treatment plan. She uses many techniques including, but not limited to, Swedish massage, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, trigger point therapy, and neuromuscular facilitation. Janelle believes in treating the body as a whole, rather than just focusing on relieving pain temporarily. It is her belief that knowledge is power when it comes to healing musculoskeletal dysfunction, so she aims to educate her patients on what they can do to help themselves heal. This includes giving patients stretching or strengthening exercises that they can do on their own, and/or adjusting their daily habits that may be contributing to dysfunction in their body.

Janelle strives to constantly better herself and learn more skills to better treat her patients. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Health Science degree as well as taking continuing education massage therapy courses. She also has a keen interest in the mind-body-soul connection and because of this, she is currently training to become a Certified Meditation Instructor. In her free time, she enjoys weight training, yoga, outdoor activities, and spending time with friends and family.

Janelle is available to take patients on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
